Online betting & gaming technology provider OpenBet has announced a major leadership transition. According to the company, its current chief executive officer, Jordan Levin, will transition to the role of chairman. At the same time, the experienced Nikos Konstakis will step in as CEO.

According to OpenBet’s announcement, Konstakis is set to step into the CEO office at the end of the year. At the same time, Levin will transition to the chair role. In this position, he will continue to play a key role in shaping OpenBet’s long-term strategy.

For reference, Konstakis is no stranger to OpenBet’s business. He has been involved with the business for a while, serving as its president. In this role, he has been closely involved in “driving the operational and commercial execution of the business and shaping its strategic priorities.”

“As a trade organisation we are trying to work together with our regulator because we feel that we have a shared interest of getting a good legal market. And of course we’re talking to politicians to do something about putting illegal operators on notice. I think it is really positive at the moment in the Netherlands that the operators have really teamed up,” Petra continues.

Notably, she says competing with each other is not important at the moment, as working to fight the black market serves a bigger purpose.

Finally, after four years in the hot seat, is Petra still enjoying the job? “Absolutely. It’s challenging, it feels like you’re playing in the Champions League sometimes because a lot is asked of the people in the sector. You’ve got responsible gambling, anti-money laundering and, at the same time, you have to offer a fun experience. But it’s nice to be challenged,” she concludes.

Interior temporarily rescinded that determination just two months later after newly appointed Secretary Doug Burgum raised concerns over whether the tribe’s historical connection to the land had been thoroughly evaluated.

Scotts Valley filed suit in response. In October 2025, Judge McFadden ruled that Interior had violated the tribe’s due process rights by rescinding the approval without giving prior notice or an opportunity to respond.

However, McFadden’s ruling left the door open for Interior to formally reconsider the underlying gaming eligibility question.
